Somerset West is only 30 car minutes from Cape Town International Airport and in the immediate vicinity of the famous wine route of the Western Cape along Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Paarl featuring excellent restaurants. It is also golfers’ paradise, the choice of courses being wide: Erinvale Golf Club can be reached in 5 minutes, as can the Somerset West Golf Club, the Strand Golf Club in 10 minutes and the Stellenbosch Golf Club in 20 minutes. A short drive takes our visitors to the famous Victoria & Alfred Waterfront of Cape Town, where they may shop to their heart’s content and visit the Two Oceans Aquarium or take a boat trip to Robben Island, the legendary prison island, where Nelson Mandela was incarcerated.

Our guesthouse is ideally situated as a starting point for day trips to, for example, Hermanus for whale watching and along the picturesque Garden Route.
